Artist's Comments
This is a fanart for a character from my favorite book series ever, the Drizzt series. The woman's name is Catti-brie, and she's the adopted daughter of a dwarf king. Sounds kinda wierd, but they're good books. I think it turned out pretty well; I changed mostly minor things from the original portrait, the largest being that I added the catseye circlet onto the chains she was wearing in her hair. Originally there wasn't one on her forehead. But she's an archer, so when I saw this portrait I knew I had to do something with it geared towards Catti-brie. The panther is her lover's magical companion, named Gwenhwyvar. Dear, sweet Gwenhwyvar.
